HOW QUICKLY THEY GROW…AND GROW!

Yep, there she is. My daughter.

She started so small. Now, at 9 years old, going on 33, she is growing  into quite the young lady. I am very proud of how she is growing up and how her personality is going, but, the part that I dislike very much is that when Jenna gets older, so do I.

Now, mind you, growing older is better than the alternative. But, perhaps you should have something like a “Pause” button, like on the DVD player, that you could push and your age would pause. I suppose that would make most of us 29!

With the attitude that age is just a number, tell that to my back. For that matter there are many parts of me that don’t know that age is just a number.

I would very much like to run and ride the bicycle and other things with her that requires that all those body parts that don’t know that age is just a number would strongly object to. Then the next few days those same parts would take great pleasure in reminding that they didn’t enjoy the activity that they were forced to participate in.

Running, riding, skating, and a host of other things are the thins that I would like to do.

So, with full realization that I am unable to do this, I do tell stories of  the times that I did do things like this.

As far as things that we can and do together, they are toned down a bit and the physical ‘output” is toned down. The part that is most important, the together time and the fun part isn’t toned down at all!  We are gonna crank up the fun and heighten the quality of the togetherness as much as possible.

I don’t know at all where the time goes, but, it goes so fast. I want to grasp every second that I can and make up for the times that I was too wrapped up in anything else to realize this.

No time like the present!

Until next time,

just me
